How to check if your customer has opted in for GDPR compliment marketing.

You can see if your customer(s) has opted in for marketing. In this article we will explain why GDPR is important and how you can see if your customer has opted in for marketing.

Why is GDPR important?

It is imperative that you understand and apply GDPR to all your communications in order to protect your business from costly and damaging complaints. It is legislation that regulates how companies handle personal information. Companies have to be clear about how they collect and handle sensitive and personal data. All companies and organisations that deal with data relating to EU citizens must comply with GDPR.

To see if your customer has opted in for marketing you can do the following:

· Click ‘Customers’

· And then ‘Bookings’

From here, you will be able to see a list of customers who have booked classes with you through Happity. On the last column you will see who has opted-in to marketing. This is a GDPR compliant marketing opt in

Those who have selected Yes can be contacted about marketing, though if they have selected no it is important to only contact them about the classes they have booked on to.
