There will be times when you need to issue a refund to a customer and this can be done quickly and easily through Stripe.

You can issue full or partial refunds depending on the situation; so if you need to refund one class from a block or term booking, then you can do this by clicking on 'refund' and then altering the amount you wish to send.

You may also need to issue refunds if you need to cancel or reschedule a session.

Cancellations in the Happity dashboard don't automatically issue a refund, as often a class transfer is more appropriate. So once you have cancelled a class, you will then need to issue the refunds through your Stripe account.

Refund a payment in Stripe

i. Log in to your Stripe account at https://stripe.com/
ii. Type the email of your customer into the search bar at the top and press return - this will return a list of transactions from that customer

iii. You can click on the refund payment button from the search results straight away, or click on the transaction to view more info first.

The refund button is at the top right if you click on a payment to view the full details.

Tip - Make sure your refund policy is clearly stated in your T&Cs. Refunds can be made in full or minus the commission and processing fees paid.

Please note that the support team at Happity will not issue a refund on behalf of a class provider unless requested by yourself.
