Which Dashboard Am I Using? If you joined Happity after 8 Jan 25, OR you have been invited to the Beta phase, you are reading the correct article. All other providers should see this help article instead.

Start in your Happity Dashboard

  • Go to My Classes in the left hand menu and choose Weekly Timetable

  • Click Add new class to launch the scheduling wizard.

The Scheduling Wizard - step-by-step

1. Activity

The Activity section is where you describe what happens at your class, and who it is suitable for. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Select if your classes are running 'Online' or 'In person'

  • Enter a title for your activity - this is the name that will appear in the search listings and so needs to help a parent easily identify the type of class you are offering. e.g. Toddler Rhyme Time

  • You can then select who your class is for from the following choices:

    • Children (& carers) - children will attend the class with their parents/carers

      • You can then add the minimum and maximum ages below (a 'young baby' tag will automatically be applied to classes when the maximum age is below 13 months).

    • Grown ups only - children are not expected to attend, the class is for adults only

      • If your class is for grown ups only, but aimed at parents with children in a specific age range, you can ticket the 'Specific child age?' box and include this here.

  • Enter a short description and click 'Continue'. Short description appears at the top of your page on Happity.

  • You can then write a 'Long description', keep in mind what will persuade a parent to come to your class. Help them understand the benefits of attending your classes, what they will be doing there and what they can expect from them.

    Then click 'Continue'

Tip - Avoid filling this space with specific details of where, when and costs, as you can provide information this later.

  • Finally, add your categories. You can tag up to two categories by clicking the plus sign.
If the suggested categories are not suitable for you, you can view our full list by clicking 'search other categories'

You will not be able to continue unless at least one category is added. The use of accurate categories can help your classes reach more parents. (More information about categories here)

  • Once all done, click 'Continue'. You will now set-up your timetable for this Activity.

2. Venue details

  • Use the 'Search for venue' box to choose a venue from Happity's existing database. If your venue isn't listed, click 'Add a new venue to our database'.

  • You can also add your class capacity in the bottom field (this can be used later on if bookings are activated), then proceed by clicking Continue.

  • When you add a new venue, its profile is shared amongst all class providers. Each venue gets its own page on Happity, showing parents all of the classes that take place in that location. They rank highly in Google, and are linked with other class providers, helping you to get more visibility in your area. Here's an example: St Hilda's Church, SE23

3. Extra info

  • This section is optional, but allows to you add extra details about your class. You can highlight if you 'Accept on the door drop-ins' or 'Advanced bookings only' using the tick boxes.

  • There is also a space to assign external teachers on this page, this is extremely useful if you have multiple teachers to run different classes.

  • You can also add more specific notes on venue facilities such as pram access or an alternative entrance.

  • Proceed by clicking Continue.

You can also add notes which are specific to this particular class. e.g. it could be that you're in a café and there's a special offer for parents attending this class.

4. Schedule type, date and time

Select the schedule type that has the closest pattern for you from the following:

  • Weekly classes - Runs in a regular pattern and customers can join from any week. e.g. A music class.

  • Courses - Customers should come to every session from the beginning. e.g. an antenatal course or first aid course.

  • Event - People will typically only attend this once e.g. a Summer Festival.

For Weekly class Pattern:

  • Select your weekday it runs on

  • Add your start and end time

  • Finally select your running period where you can add dates i.e.

    • Term time only - Dates will be grouped into terms, click edit to select dates.

    • Runs during holidays - Dates will be grouped into half terms and seasonal holidays.

    • Runs all year round.

For a Course pattern:

  • Select the weekday it runs on.

  • Choose your start and finished time

  • Select the number of sessions in the course then click continue

  • Finally, select the course start date. Dates can then be customised if you need to deselect a particular class date.

For Event pattern:

  • Select the day the event is running on

  • Add the start and end time of the event

  • Select the tick box next to the date/s the event is running on
